Dear Trading Participants,
Ten years after the launch, the EEX UK NBP gas market is now a highly liquid trading market with more than 10,000 monthly trades.
To further drive the market, ECC will improve operational and cyber security of the current operational nomination procedures for executed trades by introducing single-sided nomination from 25 March, 2025.
This will be carried out in close collaboration with the responsible Joint Office of Gas Transporters, the UK gas transmission system operator (TSO), National Gas, and XoServe.
The introduction of single-sided nomination will further reduce operational complexity, as nomination will only be done via ECC.
The previously needed extra provision of customer credentials will no longer be needed.
All affected Shippers will be contacted by Correla, the service provider of XoServe and will only need to fill in the XoServes "user agent authorisation” form by 25 March, 2025. If the form is not provided in time, the existing credentials of the Shipper will be used.
