Summary
ECC would like to inform you that SSL/TLS certificates on the AMQP brokers used for the C7 FIXML interface in simulation and production environment will be installed. The new certificates will replace the current certificates, which are approaching their expiration date.
Please note that the validity of the certificates is specified by regulatory authorities, and it is consistent across all certification authorities. All participants using C7 FIXML are required to replace the certificates before the expiration date.
The new certificates will be activated on the following dates:
Simulation start: 9 August 2024
Production start: 17 August 2024
The new public keys for simulation will be available for download on 2 August 2024 and for production on 5 August 2024 on the Eurex Clearing website www.eurex.com/ec-en under the following link:
Support > Technology > C7 > Messaging Interfaces Connectivity
Clearing Members are advised to download the new public keys from the website and to install them in their client’s application / truststore prior to the activation dates. If required, Clearing Members can test connectivity in the production environment with dedicated support on Saturday, 17 August 2024, between 12:00 and 15:00 CEST.
The certificates are signed by the DigiCert certification authority (CA). Both the root and intermediate certificates of the CA are available for download on their official website www.digicert.com and serve also as authentication method when the connection is being established with the AMQP broker. The public keys of the AMQP brokers or the public keys of the CA must be installed first on the client’s infrastructure and shall be made available for the client application to accept the server certificates. Most AMQP clients can work with multiple certificates at the same time, therefore it is possible to upload the public keys in advance. Once the new production certificate is installed on ECC side on 17 August 2024, existing client connections with the old certificate will not drop automatically and will remain connected until disconnection or AMQP broker re-start.
After activation, any new connection will only work with the new public keys in place. The new FIXML certificate does not affect account specific certificates uploaded in the Clearing Member Portal.
More details about the SSL/TLS configuration of different AMQP libraries can be found in the C7 Messaging Interfaces documentation on the Eurex Clearing website www.eurex.com/ec-en/ under the following link:
