    European Commodity Clearing (ECC) is a central clearing house which specialises in energy and commodity products  - but what actually is clearing?
    What happens, if the buyer or seller drops out of the transaction? Our short video explains clearing in a nutshell and gives a general overview of ECCs services.

    Implementation of "DORA"

    Digital Operational Resilience Act ("DORA") carried out by ECC for Customer Agreements

    The Digital Operational Resilience Act (Regulation (EU) 2022/2554, “DORA”) is an EU regulation from 17 January 2025, which aims to strengthen the resilience, reliability, and continuity of financial services across the European Union. DORA was designed to ensure that organisations can withstand, respond to, and recover from cyber incidents.

    On our dedictaed DORA page we provide responses on frequently asked questions (“FAQs”) with respect to the relationship between customers (in their role as Financial Entity) and ECC, as part of the EEX Group (in its role as ICT Third Party Service Provider, where applicable) aas well as support for those customers affected by the DORA regulation in order to become compliant.
