ECC Clearing Circular 62/2026 | Extension of the DCP Model to additional EEX Natural Gas Spot Markets

    Summary

ECC has extended the Direct Clearing Participant (‘DCP’) access model to additional EEX natural gas spot markets with immediate effect. Following the launch of the DCP model for the Baltic-Finnish natural gas spot markets in September 2025, DCPs are now able to access the market areas CEGH VTP, ETF, PEG, THE, TTF and ZTP under the existing DCP
framework, further broadening the market coverage of the DCP model.

As part of this extension, ECC has introduced a Delivery Exposure Limit framework applicable to DCPs active in gas markets with delivery risk. The Delivery Exposure Limit complements the existing DCP risk management framework and supports the management of delivery-related risks arising from physically settled natural gas transactions.

Detailed information regarding the market extension and the Delivery Exposure Limit framework is provided in this Clearing Circular.
