Summary
With reference to the Customer Information issued on 21 October 2025, the backend workflow to register trades at European Energy Exchange (EEX) via Trayport Joule and Trayport Clearing Link will be updated. This is a mandatory update to ensure continued compliance with regulatory requirements.
After the update, trades registered by EEX brokers via Trayport Joule and Trayport Clearing Link (“Trayport Trade Registration Deals”) will be routed through an intermediary service, Touchpoint, provided by KB Tech Ltd. (part of EEX Group).
The changes are coordinated between KB Tech Ltd., Trayport Ltd., and European Energy Exchange AG (EEX AG).
From an operational perspective, the coordinating parties are working closely together to migrate affected EEX brokers to the new setup. Each broker will be contacted by the Trayport and Touchpoint support teams when their migration is due and will receive detailed instructions and guidance on the required steps. Migration schedules will be coordinated with each affected broker to ensure a smooth transition.
A detailed description of the migration process, including a comprehensive Q&A document, is available for download on the EEX website.
Once the migration has been completed, all relevant trades will be routed through Touchpoint before being submitted to the EEX T7 trading system.
All trading participants are kindly requested to support and comply with this migration in accordance with the applicable exchange regulations.
