ECC offers clearing and settlement services for a number of exchanges and a variety of energy and related products. ECC uses SMSS as well as the EUREX Clearing System. Thus, access to two clearing systems is required.

• Spot market transactions are settled through ECC's Spot Market Settlement System (SMSS), where delivery management and relevant settlement and payment reports are implemented.
• Trade and position management for derivatives, risk management and collateral management including the delivery of the respective reports are implemented in the Eurex clearing system.

Technical Access to SMSS - ECC Member AreaWith the help of the ECC Member Area,  we provide online access to the SMSS settlement systems of ECC for trading participants, clearing members, Sub-CCPs and partner exchanges.

Transactions can be viewed and reports can be subscribed to in the ECC Member Area. Furthermore, the ECC Member Area provides access to internal delivery accounts for emissions and transfers of emissions to external registry accounts can be requested online.

Technical Access to EUREXTechnical connection to the EUREX system and hence ECC is generally provided via a Member Integration System Server (MISS), or a Member’s MISS group and via a TCP/IP proprietary network. Supported operating systems are Sun Solaris and Microsoft Windows. Detailed information regarding hard- and software requirements are provided in the EUREX Sizing Guidelines (login required).
